Holy Week Day 5: Holy Thursday - The Last supper, the Passover meal

This is the last time Jesus will dine with his disciples before his arrest and crucifixion. It is called the Passover Meal, or the Last Supper. Jesus leaves them with this thoughts: he predicts his arrest on the next day, his resurrection, and a coming kingdom. He then instructs them to eat the bread (a symbol of his body that will be beaten and broken) and take a drink (a symbol of his blood that will be shed for the remission of sins), and to do this in remembrance of him, until he returns again.
